HELLO to all of you interested in joining or learning more about Pioneer Theatre Guild! Members of Theatre Guild act, sing, dance, paint and build sets, operate lighting and sound equipment, design programs, sell tickets, design and make costumes, publicize shows, do hair and makeup design, write, direct, and much more! So if you’re interested in any of the above, please join! Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you’ve had a lot of theater experience or none at all! In Theatre Guild we work really hard to put on great performances and we have a whole lot of fun doing it.

SHOWS: Theatre Guild is proud to put on 2 musicals, FutureStars (a singing competition), a winter play, Student Productions (an entirely student written and run show), and Comedy Troupe shows in a typical season.

ON STAGE: Our season offers many opportunities for students with all sorts of performing talents – acting, singing, dancing, and even sometimes things like gymnastics, juggling, or climbing! Check back on this site for audition info during the season!

CREWS: No need to fear if you don’t love being on stage – there is constant work going on behind the scenes. If acting isn’t for you, check out our crews – we have something for everyone!

Overall, Theatre Guild is a great place for all students to learn and grow in all aspects of theater. Please browse this website to find out more about Theatre Guild!

Becoming a Member

An easy way to meet people from Theatre Guild and find out information about us is to go to our “Monday Meetings”, which we hold 1-2 Mondays per month in the theater at 4:00pm. These short meetings are when the student leaders of Theatre Guild, the Student Executive Board, give the most up-to-date announcements.

To become a member:

1. Read our Member Expectations (click here!).
It’s almost everything you need to know about being involved in Theatre Guild!

2. Talk to your parents or guardians about their Theatre Guild responsibilities (click here!).
These include dues and volunteer hours.

3. Turn in all your forms and dues. (click here!)
Your parents/guardians can fill out the forms online and pay dues at the Parent Meeting at the beginning of each show.

4. Email our Sponsor Jayme Kelmigian to get on our email list, kelmigianj@aaps.k12.mi.us.

5. Show up to a Monday Meeting to meet people and sign up for auditions or crews!

If you’re at all interested in being a part of Theatre Guild, please come and check us out! Remember, there is no experience necessary to join Theatre Guild!

The Student Executive Board

The board is a group of elected students who are here to help the adult staff run this organization as smoothly as possible. They also run the Monday Meetings. There is a new board elected for each semester. They would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have!
